Our seamstresses are experts in their field and are committed to provide the absolute best alterations combined with an equally pleasing experience. You will work with one seamstress from beginning to end to ensure your fit is perfect. You will need about 2-3 fittings depending on the amount of work that needs to be done to your dress. Alterations begin about 8 weeks before your wedding date.

You should bring along your shoes and any under garments you plan on wearing the day of your wedding to ensure the proper fit and length. You can also opt to have bra cups built into your dress.

At your last and final appointment, you should bring along whoever will be doing your bustle the day of your wedding. The seamstress will show them the proper way to bustle your dress for you. Here at The Bridal World our seamstresses can also do alterations for wedding dresses not purchased in our store, bridesmaid dresses, Mother of the Bride or Groom dresses or any evening wear.

Custom Wedding Gown Alterations

Custom changes and enhancements are available such as adding or removing straps/sleeves, changing necklines, lowering the backs of gowns, adding belts and adding additional appliques. Our seamstresses can also do religious buildups.
